Week Thirty-eight: Snippets from Vancouver | Regional Assembly of Text

"the get" part 1

One of the highlights of our Vancouver vacation was visiting Regional Assembly of Text. I’ve been wanting to visit for ages, and the Main Street shop didn’t disappoint. It’s full of quirky charm, from the windows showcasing vintage typewriters + office supplies to the utilitarian-chic metal filing cabinets behind the counter. The shop theme at the time of my visit was vintage office supplies (think graph paper + thirteen-column pads). It was paper heaven: I took my time and considered what would be the best collection of “souvenirs” to purchase. I think my favorite is the Assembly of Text “Our City” guide to Vancouver. Filled with the favorite places of shop owners Rebecca & Brandy, it’s the perfect size to tuck in a handbag (or pocket), and refer to as you stroll. You can see more from my visit at my Flickr set, and if your plans don’t take you to Vancouver, there’s always the online shop.
