After reading November Domino (and admiring J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons home), I dug out the one old J.Crew catalog I’d saved, probably due to the “exclusive preview” of the blacktie collection. Flipping through it, I was nostalgic for some of their 1999 stuff, deemed “when basic gets blah” by Domino. Even though I love all of the color and the energy in the new J.Crew, and I especially love when they mix orange and pink, part of me wishes for more basics among the options. Like when they offer the cutest flats in multiple colors like citron and mango, how about not excluding black, for example :) Or more grey and khaki skirts. But I digress.
