hugo guinness prints
A quick break in the paper love for shop love! John Derian‘s two shops were at the top of my “Saturday in Soho/Nolita” list. I’ve been wanting a Hugo Guinness print forever, but deciding by email didn’t work for me as I wanted to see my options in person. The photo above is from the John Derian booth at the Stationery Show, as I didn’t have a camera on Saturday. No matter. I got an excellent shot of my choices. Hmmmmm, eggs? or the tufted chair? or the safety pin? (Please click over to Flickr if you’d like to study the choices and weigh in.) Bonus: as Hugo’s prints are now available wholesale, soon they may pop up in a shop near you!

decoupage loveliness
Aren’t these trays lovely? (The colors on the shells are fab.)

Love John Derian’s aesthetic (I could move into the “room” above) and was thrilled to meet him at his shop on Saturday. One word: charming. Oh, and p.s.: Housemartin pointed me toward his 1stdibs Style Compass feature. I think you’ll like it, too.
Back tomorrow with more. See you then!

gorgeous! am loving your coverage of the show!
Hi Jane,
Not sure if I am doing this right? Never posted a comment on a blog? This is a blog right? I don’t know, but it is beautiful, very cool…clueless how you do it, but it’s awesome.
And by the way John Derian is cute! His stuff (material goods/art/decoupage) is nice too!
Nice talking to you at B & N on Thursday! Now I know why I see you there so often on Thursdays! :-)
