I can’t say it enough: I love Hawksworth’s coconut soda*, so much so that I ordered it twice during our stay – once as a take-out drink – and have been obsessed with recreating it ever since. The staff at Hawksworth was kind enough to provide the recipe for me to share with all of you. Hope you love it, too:
*I am at a loss for how to describe it other than “refreshing”. The allspice definitely gives it a chai tea vibe, but you can taste the lime/coconut, too. Speaking of allspice gomme (syrup), here’s a recipe from Epicurious. I couldn’t find any bottled allspice syrup for sale, though I tried. I think Morris Kitchen should to add it to their line!
ingredients (in case you’re squinting at the type)
over cracked ice in a Collins glass build:
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. allspice gomme (syrup)
top with coconut water
1/3 soda water
garnish with freshly grated lime rind
