Week Nine: Salt Espresso Lunch & Tea Bar

One of the many things I love about London is its array of charming, independent coffee shops. And recently opened Salt Espresso Lunch & Tea Bar is no exception. Owner Aleem Hussein’s philosophy is to sell what he believes in, using the best ingredients possible (suppliers include Square Mile Coffee, Waterloo Tea, and The Ladies Organic Dairy) and focusing on fantastic customer service.  I’m so glad to have found Salt while wandering down Great Queen Street during our November visit: the food looked gorgeous and the staff was friendly and eager to answer my questions. Until our next visit, I’ll be keeping up with all things Salt at Twitter.

Truth be told, Aleem also has an eye for design: the space was designed by William Tozer architecture & design, with furnishings from East London Furniture. Both are favorites of mine as well.
