Week Ten: Three by Three Magnetic Strips

before (L) and after (R)

Despite the iPad/iPhone-ification of our household, it seems many important reminders arrive via stray pieces of paper. I wanted to find an elegant way to organize and display them so baseball practices (and coupons to be used) wouldn’t fall through the cracks. Three By Three‘s magnetic strip bulletin board perfectly fits the small bit of wall next to the phone. It comes with everything you need to install + display (yes, magnets included) and is much better suited to our household’s day-to-day crazy than its predecessor, “blank chalkboard”.  Mission accomplished.

note: the magnet strips come with screws: as i didn’t want to make big holes in the drywall, i used 3m/command’s picture hanging strips to attach it to the wall, and substituted decorative thumbtacks for the screws

    Dear Jane and 3 x 3,

I am looking for a magnet display like this one you make for $10 in stainless steel or black that can stand alone near a bookstore cash register.

Do you have a store in Seattle?

Feel free to call me @206 271 3490 about hours and if I can swing by and pick up.

    Thanks!

Love your creative spirits and cool ideas.

    best fishes,

    Timothy Colman, publisher

Great idea! I got those magnetic strips some time ago too but have been sitting on my couch since I didn’t want to use the screws! I’m going to try the 3M strips! Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE these magnetic strips! I used them in college in my dorm room, and now they adorn the walls of my kitchen. Really useful and great looking. Love your blog, by the way, it’s a pleasure to read :)
