London Pop-up: Kenkō Tea Bar

I don’t know why, but Londoners seem skeptical about the goodness of iced tea. Here’s hoping that Kenkō Tea Bar changes that. Currently a pop-up shop at Old Street Station (Northern Line), this new line of cold brew teas have no added sugar but pack plenty of flavor, with each blend steeping for at least 8 hours to release the antioxidant goodness without bitterness. With a range of flavors, including the tea world’s current darling, Matcha, I sampled a few before settling on a ginger/licorice blend for my first bottle. (I usually shy away from licorice flavors, but this was subtle and really good.)

Kenkō Tea Bar’s pop-up runs through April 5. (Here’s hoping that iced tea weather appears in full force before then.) Head on over to sample the line, pick up a few favorites, and follow Kenkō at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
