my purchases (to bring home)
Another location that I was not missing was Joan’s on Third. Once again, fantastic! Third Street is full of cool little shops like Le Labo and Sigerson Morrison and Plastica and noodle stories so it was well worth an afternoon’s stop on our itinerary. The owners of my local bakery moved to Chicago from LA and warned me that Joan’s is busy all the time. Yeah right, I figured. Certainly mid-afternoon I could run in and have a look and grab a few things. Wrong. It’s crazy busy all the time, which kind of adds to the fun. And I was thrilled to spot some marshmallows from Butter (a bakery from Vancouver I’m kind of obsessing over) as well as the sweet little lamb cookies.

The Joan’s on Third website is chock-full of glorious photos of the interior (like the communal table pictured below) and the cupcakes + sandwiches + more. So glad I went.

That looks so delicious….mmm!
Darling Dexter introduced me to you, I’m grateful! ;)
oh, your post made me swoon. My husband and I relocated from LA to Atlanta in December and boy do I miss it. Seeing those pics of some favorite haunts made me yearn for those wide sunny sidewalks. Sugar Paper was right next to my house and I would often walk to Clementine’s for lunch. I hope you got the chance to visit Paper Source in Beverly Hills…I worked there for several years and I love how each shop has their own unique personality.
Yum! This is one of my go-to places for lunch while in LA.
durr. keep scrolling and here we are. anyways, i do love it there.
