Wednesday, the weather matched the calendar. After days of warm warm warm (and dry dry dry), we had rain showers, and it stayed close to 70. A welcome change, as I will not miss my watering chores.
Thought the picture above captured the season. The pears are “Harrow Delight” from our csa box. I’m loving the variety of fruits and vegetables our half share brings, but I’m hating the amount of stuff we end up composting due to our family size (and perhaps a little lack of planning on my part). I think that next year I’ll resolve to hit the farmer’s markets more diligently and to keep trying and pushing new foods.
