Happy Friday! Hope your weekend plans are full of fun. We just may make a trip into the city tomorrow. Fritz Pastry has been on my short list for a while, and I’m also in the market for some new lipstick. Pastries + lipstick. Just the sort of things boys dream of shopping for on a summer Saturday. Oh well. They owe me :) But first,

A couple weekendy items of note: today, at 10am edt, Design in DC is featuring design webcasts in conjunction with the National Design Awards. I’m hoping to catch Design X Details, with Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa, but click here for the full lineup.

Also, tomorrow from 4-8 pm in Portland, OR is Summer Social. To say that I wish I could be there is a bit of an understatement, as I would be scooping up more delightful linen work from Elisabeth Bentz, checking out the brand-new Postal Press, and just enjoying the scene. I cannot wait to see Chelsea’s photos and hear what she thought.
