We are (potentially) just a few weeks away from starting our kitchen remodel. As anxiety producing as that fact is for me, I am also seeing signs that it is “time”. Like the fact that our current kitchen faucet died on Friday. We have it on life support right now (can it last three weeks?), but it’s not like it used to be. For example, it can only be turned on (and off) when the handle is on the right. Plus, it leaks. Nothing like curtailing the use of the kitchen faucet a little early to get you psyched for no kitchen at all.
Over the rainy Saturday, I packed up a couple of the cabinets, and realized how much stuff we own that never gets used. Which led to the “Goodwill” pile, which led to a reexamination of my closets. (Rainy days at my house lead to introspection and then a general freak out.) The giveaway pile grew, and grew. Then we packed it up, dropped it off, and I admired a now empty drawer in an armoire. Miles to go, though. I am not the best at letting go. All the sweaters above have made the cut.
Sunday was gorgeous and other than going for a nice morning run, I wasted the entire day. Beautiful spring days are made for that.
Back tomorrow with stationery news (or perhaps a bakery?) See you then.

Love all your cardies! One in every color!
I love the feeling after you’ve done a good spring cleaning through the house!
What pretty cardigans! Wow, me want! Is there a particular brand that you just loooove?
Hi, Linda! I really like the color selection at JCrew, and I love Mai cashmere, but it’s hard to find. Thanks for the comments Jane, Jen and Linda!
Wishing you luck with your kitchen – we’re recently gutted ours also b/c it was falling apart but it’ll be worth it in the end when it’s done :)
