I cannot believe it is August 4. Soccer practice starts tonight. Three weeks from today, school starts. (Okay, that I am ready to believe.) This weekend had some highs and lows to it. Let’s start with the highs. That would be Saturday.
It was perfect weather, and we spent most of it outside. At home. Enjoying the patio, flipping through magazines ….. we even went to the pool! But the best part of Saturday was the arrival of my stationery and business cards from Suann at simplesong.
Even my husband, who wanted to see the inside, asked if I was going to take a picture first. (Of course I was!) Isn’t it pretty? Love the gray ribbon …..
And ta da! Here’s the finished product! The stationery is my name in brackets. The business card (which I am so looking forward to handing out) is blind letterpressed at the top, with my blog and contact info at the bottom. I’m going to the Design*Sponge Boston meetup next week, and I’m thrilled to have the cards ready to go. Thanks Suann! You outdid yourself.
And Sunday? The lows? Well, we went to a local mall for a bit of shopping. I was trying on some tee shirts (quick note: Gap’s favorite tee is quite nice, and the color selection is better online). While in the dressing room, I got a good look in the mirror at my hair. Yikes. The flourescent lights were not helping one bit. It was reality check/intervention time. So, although I had promised my son we were spending 60-90 minutes tops at the mall, that limit was stretched a bit to accomodate a haircut. All looks better now. Definitely going back to the salon again. Miracle workers, I tell you.
