Happy Friday! This week has been a slog. Double sports practice every night of this week, which meant lots and lots of sitting in suburban parking lots. (Yes, I’m caught up on my reading.) Looking forward to the long, holiday weekend and a chance to catch my breath between soccer tournament games and cross-country sectionals. :)

Apples, leaves, and pumpkins ….. must be fall. I picked up “my” pumpkin this week at my favorite little stand (Amidei Mercatino). The boys still have to pick out their big, fat orange versions for carving, but I go for sweet, so this green beauty is perfect.
Have a lovely weekend: I’m taking off Monday to celebrate the holiday. See you Tuesday. And bye bye, spring fashion week. It was fun!

mrs. john l. strong/ostrich set
Watson Kennedy has been on my radar for awhile (think my initial discovery was via Country Living magazine) and I’m a huge fan of owner Ted Kennedy Watson’s eclectic/luxe mix of goods. From a Mrs. John L. Strong ostrich noteset (so glad that the brand is still around) to some very pretty scissors to Hugo Guinness prints … (yes, the five cent/kings print is sold, but it’s fantastic, and had I known about it earlier, well, I like to think it would have come home with me. thankfully, Watson Kennedy has plenty of other options for fans of Mr. Guinness) … it’s all good. For those of us who don’t live in Seattle, the online shop is organized by senses and full of delights. Check it out, and for good measure, sign up for the newsletter. The latest missive featured a closet door-cum-inspiration board that is screaming “coöpt me”.
