Friday Flickr Five

Happy Friday! This month has raced past in the blink of an eye (fashion week will do that). I’m not ready for full-on-no-turning-back-the-leaves-are-gone fall, and the holidays, despite the rush of catalogs telling me otherwise. Fall is meant to be savored. I will try to remember that this weekend. To stop, take a moment, and enjoy the sublime that is September.

On with the Five:

  1. these three
  2. untitled
  3. late summer water’s edge
  4. … just a small world …
  5. Ferris wheel

Hope you find your own little piece of the sublime this weekend. See you Monday.

Snail Love: Artist Susan Brand

I recently read The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating, and instantly fell in love with the cover art. Susan Brand‘s watercolor snails are a delight: lifelike, and at the same time completely charming. Some of Susan’s snail art is available at her Etsy shop. (I happen to think they would be fantastic on stationery. Hint, hint.)
