Such a relaxed, California look from 6397 for spring. I am skeptical of baring my shoulders, though, as they do not resemble the model’s Claire Underwood physique, even remotely, at the moment. Perhaps a cardi at the ready? See the complete collection at voguerunway.com.

I’d really like to know where the first half of September has gone. It’s the same every year: the month starts with anticipation and excitement over the beginning of school and then boom! it’s meetings meetings meetings and forms and more meetings. To add to that, both of my “boys” have September birthdays. Neither is a boy these days—my baby turns 18 this week and if that’s not enough to shake you awake as to the passing of time I don’t know what is. (Here in London he’ll be legal at the pubs, but as we left the US before he turned 16, he still can’t drive, which gives me some comfort regarding the former.)
As senior year churns along, the questions without answers for him and us continue to pile up. I seek solace in the change of seasons, embrace the joys of discovery, and am forever grateful for my small stable of friends who are there to lend a hand or an ear.*
A few of my late-summer favorites on Instagram to feel your soul:

This weekend, a girls’ getaway to Cliveden and the village of Bray reminded me of need to make hay while the sun shines, even if when in England, the sun is interspersed with showers. Thank you Celine and Christine for the dose of serenity.
