paper stories’ chandler & price letterpress
Last Friday, I made a field trip up to Grayslake to check out Paper Stories new studio & retail space. Located at Prairie Crossing’s Shops at Station Square, it’s a bright + cheery spot. Owner Kelly Maron gave me a tour of it all.

the classroom area
The new space, which Kelly shares with Tami Rasmussen of tam tam, has a spot for classes. Visit the website to download the July/August schedule (pdf). The options range from cardmaking to bookbinding to my favorite, a party kit making class where you make a banner + party hats + favor bags. Cute idea.

card wall
The retail space has a nice selection of letterpress cards + accoutrements, as well as custom books to order invitations and announcements.

cute cute cute
My favorite has to be the fun notebooks Kelly makes from old board games.
Thanks, Kelly, for a delightful visit! I look forward to returning soon, as it’s about two minutes away from the soccer fields. For more pictures from my field trip, visit my flickr set. And if you’re in the Chicago area, stop by Paper Stories and say hello.

Charleston has a new clothing + interior design shop, Eden Boheme. Based on how well I like these design boards for a decorating project (those porcupine quill colors are a terrific jumping off point!), I think I’m going to have to stop in for a visit ….. and until we head south, I’ll stay up to date by reading the Eden Boheme blog.

thanks!
Greer is such a wonderfully curated shop, as Chandra has a great eye. I am crazy for a new line at Greer, Suitor, designed by Chicagoan Jessica Murnane. (Hooray for Chicago!) The boxed thank you cards are simple and elegant, but there’s a bit of witty zazz in the envelope liners. I cannot wait to see more from Suitor. Stay tuned.

thank you berry much with a seeds liner – cute!

thanks a ton

I happened across these wonderful letterpress gift tags from LA’s Krank Press. Love the vintage office supply feel, which is just my style.
