calvin klein: ultra-sexy minimalism

Style.com emailed me yesterday to alert me about the pre-fall collections. Pre-fall was not on my radar, but since some of “my” designers had their shows up, I clicked on over. I’m sharing photos of my favorites.

Two weeks and counting. That means it’s time to get wrapping, and I spent a good chunk of time on Wednesday doing just that. Pictured above is a gift wrapped in white paper, Suann’s lovely tag, and some “elephant grey” double-faced satin from Nicholas Kniel. (It had me at “elephant”.) Can you believe I’m running out of ribbon? Poor planning on my part, and I still have quite a few gifts to wrap (and buy). And lest you think I am hyper-organized and are starting to resent me, well, these wrapped presents are sitting on a chair in the living room. Because we have no tree. And no, we have no family tradition of buying a tree on Christmas Eve and decorating by candlelight, we just haven’t gotten around to it.
More later.

Saw this bouquet in the NYTimes today (Gracious Home ad: Diane James Designs flowers). Love the combination of flowers and colors. And it’s silk! Who knew?

Seems I am trying to learn Japanese by osmosis, also known as frequent visits to the Billet website.
I cannot recommend this method, as I have learned zero, but the pictures are pretty!

perfect wrapping and heart the bag!
