Lanvin’s fall show was dark, dramatic, and a bit mysterious. I’ve selected a few of the more refined looks to showcase here, but don’t miss a click-through of the complete collection at Style.com: the hats are amazing.

Layering a coat over a coat is not a look I’m tempted to try in real life, but Alessandro Dell’Acqua used it on the Rochas runway to great effect. (Being tall + thin helps.) See the complete collection at Style.com.

5th anniversary card
Confession: I am a stationery hoarder. Thankfully, Duet Letterpress has designed a smart line of letterpress keepsakes that are perfect for savers like me. A special box filled with Duet’s anniversary cards (with envelopes to hold a note or thought) or baby’s first year certificates filled in with milestones (and perhaps tucked in to save with some of baby’s favorite outfits) are paper treasures you’ll never regret holding on to.

Turns out, I’m okay with the Jil Sander design team running the show. I’d been worried that the collection would suffer without a name on the door. These looks for fall bring a feminine touch back to the house’s signature minimalist dressing. I love that Jil Sander’s clothes are always so comfy. (I’ll bet these dresses have pockets.) No. 21’s fall collection is the complete package. Understated sequins (yes, there can be such a thing), simple shapes, and pointy-toed flats. Utilitarian luxe gone glam. View the slideshow at Style.com.
