I will never tire of looking at lovely tote bags. And this bridge A4 tote, from Postalco, is especially nice. It even has a slot for a pen!

May I strongly urge that you stop at the newsstand for the September issue of W? The magazine has been relaunched and revitalized under the direction of editor Stefano Tonchi (formerly at T: The New York Times Style Magazine). I was pleased to see illustrations from Jean-Philippe Delhomme and Leanne Shapton in the pages, and elated with the “In The Cut” spread, full of minimalist glam. I also love the way they’ve rebranded the W as the “Who, What, Where, When, and Why in the World of Style.” Yes, I’m gushing, but I also ended up subscribing over the weekend, so it’s genuine. Do give it a look. I consider the new W “accessible sophistication”.
Love these sweet yet simple cards from Toast & Laurel. Perfect for jotting a quick end-of-summer note.

and thanks to the über talented erika mcpherson powell for pointing me in the right direction
I’m quite taken with YHO’s letterpress work. Joanna and Szymon’s business cards (and related collateral) are fantastic. See more at the YHO website and blog. (Yes, it’s in Polish, but there are plenty of pictures!)

Happy Friday! I was perusing Flickr photos, looking for my five, and was struck by how often I felt a sense of melancholy; of summer’s waning; of needing to see the moment and appreciate it. See if you agree:
On with the Five:
Okay, so photo 6 was a bonus, and had nothing to do with summer’s waning, and everything to do with my Beekman-influenced goat obsession! Just one episode to go, followed shortly by major goat withdrawal.
I’m taking the next two weeks off to vacation, and drive to soccer practices, and buy school supplies, and generally get organized. You know, typical August things. I’ll be back on August 23. See you then.
