Henrik Nygren Design for Tuss

stationery

I am enthralled/enchanted/engrossed with Henrik Nygren’s design work for Tuss. It fits with the label perfectly: so cleanly minimal (and you know I adore the orange accented stationery)! Now I am doubly obsessed with Tuss, and have to a: persuade them to make adult size clothing and b: figure out a way to get my hands on a business card :) Click here to visit Nygren’s site where you’ll find lots more eye candy …. and click over to Tuss’s website as the spring collection is now online, and I have a new favorite dress.

Felix Doolittle: Return Address Labels + News ….

some of the new illustrations …. love that the mouse is reading about cheese

Felix Doolittle has been hard at work this winter. They’ve just launched some beautiful new illustrations for their personalized return address labels + updated the packaging, too. (They’re calling it a chocolate box without the calories.) I love the Felix Doolittle aesthetic: so elegant but whimsical. The labels usually retail as a set of 50 for $30, but are 20% off until March 31. And better yet …. I’ve been offered five sets to give away at random!

Here’s how the giveaway will work: Click over to the Felix Doolittle website to check out the full selection of labels, and then comment on this post with your favorite label illustration’s name before midnight on Wednesday. That’s midnight, Chicago time. (One comment per person, please.) I’ll draw five names from the eligible comments and announce them in Friday’s Flickr post. The winners will have until the end of March to contact Felix Doolittle and place their order. This giveaway is limited to the Continental US due to shipping. Thanks to Felix and Loren for their generosity in advance, and good luck!

If you’re looking for children’s labels, they’ve also updated the Doolittle Junior line with new illustrations.

Friday Flickr Five

pussy willow branches, march 2010 | simple pretty

Happy Friday! I am pleased to report that Chicago’s snow is gone! (Well, it’s not completely gone. There are dribs and drabs left over from shoveling’s piles and perhaps a wee bit in the shady spots, but let’s call it gone, okay?) In celebration of the warmer temps, I cut a bunch of pussy willow branches to force, and they’re lending a bit of color to the house, too. Yay for spring!

On with the Five:

Best of all (except for the bleary eyed Sunday morning) is that Daylight Savings Time arrives this weekend! Here’s to meals outdoors, flowers, and a glass of rosé. (Credit to E on that one.) Have a wonderful weekend + I’ll see you Monday.
