The December/January issue of Country Living features creative gift wrap from some of my favorite artists, one of whom is Jessica Murnane, the force behind Suitor. Pictured above is her Newspaper Bloom wrap. Full DIY instructions are at the Country Living website. (You’ll be amazed and delighted by the group of artists they’ve selected. It’s worth picking up a copy.)
And speaking of Suitor, Jessica’s website, suitorlife.com, is now up and running. Click on over to see the most perfect minimalist note cards, calling cards, and stationery.

Nothing screams genius like taking something practical and making it pretty. This pocket calendar, by Japanese stationery brand Delfonics, is perfectly genius. Hang it up and stow your month’s receipts (or mementos) in it. I do believe your tax preparer will love you. (For those with more to “remember”, there’s a larger version, too.) Available in yellow, white, or kraft, from NoteMaker.

Good morning! With the holiday shopping season officially under way, I thought I’d launch a mini feature at simple + pretty, called Articles of Enchantment. I’ll be showcasing items I have my eye on, and wouldn’t mind finding under the tree, or in my stocking. Hopefully, I’ll end up enchanting a few of you along the way …..
First up is this perfect little letterpressed card from RSVP in Berlin. (A favorite online haunt of mine.) Oh so simple, with “PS: Schöne Weihnachten” in the corner, which I believe translates to “PS: Merry (Nice) Christmas”. Don’t you love it?

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! The older I get, the more this holiday grows on me. Relaxing over good food + good wine; blessed to be with family and/or friends. Giving thanks for where you’ve been, what you have, the opportunities waiting to unfold. Hope you take a moment to be in the moment and notice all of the goodness around you.

I’m going to step away from blogging for the rest of the week, but before I go, I’d like to give a quick mention to Lynn at Satsuma Press. She’s starting a giveaway at her blog today in the spirit of giving thanks. There will be two winners, and the prizes sound lovely (stationery + ceramics + linens!). Do click over and check it out.
Thank you for reading simple + pretty, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, wherever you are. See you on Monday.
p.s. yes, that’s me at the top.
