I adored Inside Out’s Christmas Issue last year, so I’m thrilled that there’s a new one for 2009. (Long live magazines!) Hope it arrives at my newsstand in short order.

Hello, and Happy Friday! (the 13th. shhhh.) I’m over-the-moon excited, as this is the last weekend for fall soccer games (free weekends in my near future means I’m willing to overlook the fact we’re “double booked” this weekend.)
On with the Five:
Have a wonderful weekend! Look forward to seeing you back here on Monday …..

For the record: You can call me a Food Snob, if you wish. Just make sure that my place card is the pig, because I’m taking it home with me :)
Set of 8 letterpressed place cards, by Greenwich Letterpress (in collaboration with the creators of the Food Snob’s Dictionary).

If you’re looking for a nifty little calendar to toss in your bag, may I suggest these colorful pocket planners from Dozi Design? So modern + fun. (I think they’d make great stocking stuffers or teacher gifts, too.)

grain sack pillows by jill bent
I’ve been reading the blog for Pod, a perfectly curated little shop in Brookline Village, MA, forever, it seems, so it was a wonderful surprise to get an email from Julie at Pod letting me know that they now stock Jill Bent‘s gorgeous grain sack pillows. (I’m a big fan of Jill’s, and yes, I read her blog as well.)
But Pod’s not only pillows. It’s also perfectly simple white bowls,

And caramels, too! (Oh, and Fog Linen Work + Selvedge Magazine ….. are you with me?)

caramels
And just this week, I learned that Natsumi Nishizumi completed an illustration project for Pod. (So pretty!) Yep, definitely need to make it over to Brookline Village and pay a proper visit. Until then, Pod’s online store will have to keep me inspired.
