Friday Flickr Five

Happy Friday! It’s October, and I’m hoping for lots of good things this month. Seems that September is filled with birthdays and settling in to new routines. October is all about catching your breath and enjoying it. That said, shall we go on with the Five?

  1. what I see, I feel in my heart
  2. When Fall Is Coming…
  3. untitled
  4. lighthouses
  5. Photography is a means by which we learn to see the ordinary

I’m hoping to peek in over the weekend with inspiration from Paris. Hasn’t happened yet, but I know it will turn up where I least expect it. Hope your weekend is grand!

Bits & Pieces

Stationery purveyor Stacy Claire Boyd is blogging, too! I went through a huge SCB phase when my son was younger as her party invites were so colorful + festive + yet still felt “boyish”. Bits & Pieces has a knack for practical yet sweet ways to make your days special. (And I cannot tell you the number of times she’s posted something I had my eye on. For example, this article below from the September issue of Country Living. I too was smitten with Minneapolis chef Lucia Watson’s lunch box. And I just added this book to my amazon shopping cart thanks to her.) Keep it coming, Bits & Pieces!

Garden Set

It’s October tomorrow, and time for me to start bringing plants inside, but I’m already dreaming of next spring, and my grand plans for our garden. I spotted this charming table & chairs set at Elements, a most delightful Australian antiques shop. This set has sold, but it’s exactly the look I’m going for in a small nook of our yard. (Currently comprised of nothing.) Keeping my eyes open for something similar.

Precious Bugarin Design

My favorite find from the fall issue of Martha Stewart Weddings has to be Precious Bugarin Design. Precious has a modern stationery suite featured that is out of this world gorgeous. (Flip to page 231 when you get your copy and you’ll see what I mean. Amazing!) It inspired me to delve into all things Precious Bugarin at her brand new website. And no surprise, there’s plenty more amazingness to be had, like the leafet + mobius + parcel invitations featured here, along with a nifty nifty press kit that I wish I could touch. :) Precious is the real deal. I adore her color palette and use of typefaces, and she’s on my radar now. Click on over and explore.
