Summer weather is forecast today. With highs in the mid-80s, I think we’re skipping right over spring, but what can you do? My plan is to get outside and enjoy it while it lasts.

I have been waiting for this book forever ….. well, ever since Rae Dunn blogged a sneak preview of her kitchen’s photos back in November. My copy arrived Tuesday all the way from Japan (hooray, eBay) and it’s full of pretty, pretty kitchen pictures, text I cannot read, and mini shopping guides to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Berkeley Bowl Marketplace, and eight San Francisco shops (including Miette!). The photos are of real kitchens (no surprise that Rae’s is my favorite) and that makes it all the more inspiring.
