Over the weekend, we visited the Officially Unofficial: Inspired Art for Obama at the Chicago Tourism Center. My favorite was “Unite the States of America”, by artist Aaron Allen of Portland, Oregon. See a better picture (without my reflection) right here.

Shepard Fairey, too! The exhibit runs through May 31st and admission is free. Check it out if you’re in Chicago, or virtually visit by clicking through the exhibit’s blog.

I adore this Oak X-Back Chair and skirted cushion from Wisteria. Absolutely charming.

the box + its cute green label
We spent a chilly Friday night and Saturday in Chicago. (37 and a good wind off the lake.) Didn’t really put you in the wander around mood, so I was tactical. A must-see was More cupcakes, on Delaware, to pick up Easter dessert: two chocolate egg cupcakes (a la Cadbury eggs), and two of the “more” (think Hostess). Deliciousness. I’m going back when it’s warmer. Check out More’s daily menus online.

wow oh wow
I confess: last week’s posts at The Bride’s Guide, covering Bridal Market, had me quickly skimming as I’m not exactly in the market for a wedding gown. That is, until I got to the Lela Rose coverage. This art wall made my heart skip a beat. Isn’t it fabulous? I would love such an eclectic collection.

And yes, I like this dress, too. Busted.
