I’ve been a fan of Boston based Felix Doolittle stationery for a while now. (I often visit the website just to look at artist Felix Fu’s charming Frog Pond and Red Sox illustrations, and I love using his holiday return address labels.) Little did I know that tucked away under “gallery” is a collection of utterly gorgeous custom illustration work. I’m going to have to squirrel away some money to commission a set of my very own. My beloved flower shop, Ex Floreus, provider of many peony and ranunculus bouquets, has closed. Any recommendations for a Chicago area flower shop (northern suburbs would be preferred) are most welcome. My first preference would be for Winston Flowers to open down the street, but I don’t see that happening any time soon …..
