Lots of sadness in our house this morning when my 11-year-old learned he would be missing the International Rubik’s Cube Competition. It’s this Sunday. In San Francisco. Land of better weather. (He has gotten quite good at solving the cube. Thank you, YouTube.)

I love everything about this Nina bridesmaid dress from Jenny Yoo, and the styling is impeccable.

I think the only things keeping me going during this cold snap (my Wii fit forecast -22 F, but do I trust it?) are hot tea, and thinking of places that are warmer. As far as the tea, my current favorite is the Tazo Vanilla Rooibos that Starbucks just introduced. Not all dolled up in latte form, just tea and perhaps a dab of honey and a splash of milk. It’s wonderful.
For warmer weather and its goodness, we’ve just booked a weekend getaway to San Francisco in February. Can’t wait to visit – I’m working on my list of things to see, and I’ll have more to say about that soon. Today, just visualizing California is enough.
And now, for the giveaway winner: Congratulations Abbie! You’ve won the two wedding magazines! Send me an email (visit my profile) with your mailing address before Monday January 19 at 5:00 pm and I’ll get them on their way to you.

I would love a couple of Nantucket themed charms from Peter Beaton to add to my bracelet. As these are silver, and not gold, Just Looking.

These playing card valentines, featured in the February 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Living, are killing me with their cuteness. Aren’t they perfect?
