Wouldn’t it be fun to receive a basket like this from Winston Flowers, filled with chocolate, hot chocolate, and cookies? I think it would.

I had hoped to check out this ribbon necklace on my Sunday Target run, but alas, it was out of stock there, too. (I still like the Lanvin version better, in case anyone was wondering.)

Looking for magazine inspiration on Friday, I picked up two Australian magazines. Donna Hay’s magazine/issue 41 has a brilliant tea party/Alice in Wonderland feature (I will tuck that idea away for a few months) and Inside Out magazine’s Christmas issue is chockablock full of great elegant and minimalist stuff. Thanks to Inside Out, I’m now obsessing over Vandoros ribbon and Mariage Frere’s sugar sticks. (rock sugar never looked so elegant) I’m also a new fan of Hillary Gwillim – wish I could visit one of her shops in Melbourne: Manon Bis, Manon Cie, or Studio Imports.
No, no websites, so there will be no virtual visits.
If you see either on the newsstand, I highly recommend you give it a flip. Odds are, you’ll take it home, too.
More later.

Peeking in mid-day to say: I just saw these lovely labels at The Bedlam of Beefy. Available at PS-Stores, I want to go to there. (With apologies to Liz Lemon and to anyone who is reading this. I’ve been dying to work that into conversation since Thursday.) Gorgeous. Love the packaging too!
