Thursday was out of this world spectacular (for October in Chicago, that is) weather wise. After a frosty start, I got in a run through the local parks, and as the day progressed it warmed up to the 60s. This meant an extra-long afternoon walk with Cooper was in order to soak it all in. I’ll have to remember this as I’m slogging through the slush, probably sooner than I’m expecting. And today is supposed to be just as warm. Bring on the trick-or-treaters ….. just save me a few Milky Ways, please.
On with the Five:
Enjoy the holiday! I’m hoping to catch the elementary school’s parade this afternoon. My last one (!)

I think this “Pears” soap would make a fantastic gift, especially in that sweet bag! Of course, I love pretty much everything at Bell’occhio.

Daylesford Organic‘s site makes me want to get on a plane and visit London, stat. The above photo is from their Clifton Nurseries location. Gorgeous. It’s food heaven.
After reading November Domino (and admiring J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons home), I dug out the one old J.Crew catalog I’d saved, probably due to the “exclusive preview” of the blacktie collection. Flipping through it, I was nostalgic for some of their 1999 stuff, deemed “when basic gets blah” by Domino. Even though I love all of the color and the energy in the new J.Crew, and I especially love when they mix orange and pink, part of me wishes for more basics among the options. Like when they offer the cutest flats in multiple colors like citron and mango, how about not excluding black, for example :) Or more grey and khaki skirts. But I digress. Take a look at a couple of my favorite pages:
I just liked the hoodie here – too comfy not to share
And the vneck sweater. In charcoal heather. One, please.
Finally, good news on the grey ribbon front. I have options coming in the mail. Can’t wait to share my pick!
