Phoebe Philo always manages to push me a bit out of my comfort zone, but in the most elegant of ways. Loving her take on the fall silhouette for Céline (though I must admit, I still haven’t warmed to her fur sandals for spring). See the complete Céline fall show via Vogue UK.

After a warmer-than-usual start to winter, we’re mired in a pattern of snow, melt, snow at the moment. I am more than ready for signs of spring, and am champing at the bit for the grass to peek through (as well as tulip and narcissus sprouts). Hopefully, not much longer. Until then, enjoy these favorite photos from Flickr in February: (quite the alliteration)

- Morning Moonset
- Garden

Lots of snowy images, but hopefully the last image has you thinking spring. Cheers and happy weekend!

The iconic Dior silhouette seems fresh and new under the direction of Raf Simons. Now would be a great time to find a money tree, as I’d really like one of these designs (particularly look 18, which beautifully references Simons’ first couture presentation for Dior). Nina Ricci’s fall collection captured my attention (and my heart). The designs are sophisticated, with tiny tweaks to make them modern, like the unfinished edge on the strapless dress above. A touch of patinated perfection. See the complete show via Vogue UK.

A strong début from Alexander Wang at Balenciaga, consisting of minimalist chic in black and white. See the complete collection at Vogue UK – cleverly staged so photos offer a glimpse of the back of each look.
