Master of Utilitarian Luxe, Francisco Costa’s fall 2012 collection for Calvin Klein was perfection. See the complete show (and prepare to swoon – I’m so glad I watched the live stream) at Style.com.

look 25: gorgeous coat
While I always check out Marc Jacobs’ shows to see what his “worldview” is (I find him incredibly creative/talented/prolific), I typically find the clothes are too showy for me. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to find quite a few looks in the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall collection that I mentally bookmarked to look for when they hit the stores. The collection stands on its own but nicely references his main collection in a most wearable way. See the complete show at Style.com.

look 30
I like how look 30 picks up on a look/theme from the Marc Jacobs show (a dress I like very much, by the way).

I’m so pleased to have been asked to participate in tada! shop’s guest editor series: their product selection is top-notch. You can see my picks (and shopping list) at tadashop.com.

Santa Monica restaurant Milo + Olive not only has a menu that is right up my alley (what’s not to like about pizza and pastries?), but the interiors are fantastic, too. I’m especially taken with the art wall. This visit, it was way too crowded to get a closer look. Bad news for me, but great for Milo + Olive.
Thankfully, LA photographer Elizabeth Daniels got some great shots of the space. As for me, next visit I’m bringing the camera.
