I would clear a whole wall if I had bird prints as lovely as these. Huuuuuge want, made worse by not being able to find something similar online. The hunt continues.

I have been looking for these prints to and am having such a hard time. By the time I found this blog Anthropologie discountinued them…but…I did find great ones in a small store in Sag Habor NY! There is a gorgeous huge swan for $395, a huge blue heron for $450, 2 owls and 2 falcons for $195 ea and then smaller ones for $140. I got 3 and love them! The store is Beach Bungalow she says she does ship.

I have been hunting for the artist and possibly a book these prints could be found in. I finally gave up and found a book full of ornithological art. Beautiful prints inside, and it was in The New York Times last year (2008). I had a few of the prints blown up and framed them myself. However, the hunt continues.

I found more information on Rudbeck. Apparently all his work was published in a book in 1986, but it’s rare only 500 copies and either up for auctions or in private universities like Amherst and Trinity. However I found some links to some of the prints.

In April of 2011, we received two sets of Reproduction Prints from the Watercolours of Olof Rudbeck the Younger, as presented in precise fascimile in the Rene Cockelbergh Limited Edition Portfolios reproduced in 1986. Only 1499 portfolios were issued, making them difficult to come by. We still have approximately 20 various prints left and have just heard that we may possibly be getting another set in 6 to 8 weeks. We also have the smaller series of Olof Rudbeck’s Swedish Bird Prints. Check out our web site and give us a call if you are looking for prints.
