San Francisco artist Wendy MacNaughton captures the details of life with a delightful sense of humor. As soon as I spotted her illustrations in the latest issue of 7X7 magazine, I had to learn more. Thankfully, Wendy’s website and blog, which highlight her work, sated my desires and then some. Hooray for instant gratification via the internets.

How can it be August! Feels like summer is just getting started, and yet there are only 23 days left until school starts. Time to make the most of the fleeting season (and get outside as much as possible) …. perhaps these photos will inspire?

I can’t even begin to imagine how stressful it must be to choose a Bar or Bat Mitzvah invitation. (Melding the styles of a 13-year-old and his or her parents is fraught with conflict in the best of times.) These options, from Regas NY, close the gap beautifully.
