Yay for the happy news that Orange Beautiful’s shop opens this weekend! Go check it out, won’t you?

Happy Friday! It’s a crazy day today for me: I’m super excited to be heading to NYC tomorrow for a little SoHo shopping on Saturday and Stationery Show walking on Sunday. Which means I’m in the midst of packing, and organizing, and list making. Oh, do I love making lists. I think I’ve selected some great booths to check out at the show, and can’t wait to share my finds with you next week. Until then, the photo above is a Stationery Show apertif courtesy of the ladies of Sideshow Press. (I adore that big dipper card. It’s the perfect shade of blue.)
And as it is Friday, On with the Five:

Enjoy your weekend! Cross your fingers for me that NYC stays rain free + that there are good magazines at the airport. See you Monday.

New online shop Milk & Paper is full of pretty, with items from Fog Linen Work and Billet, not to mention a plethora of simple paper goods. Loving it.

thanks to blog-vdj for letting me know!

After spotting it in InStyle, followed by weeks of waiting, finally got my hands on Tocca’s new Baci lipgloss. I picked up Salina, which is scented a heavenly raspberry-peach, but not flavored. Three colors in all: Salina, as described, Amalfi, an apple-lemon that seems to be a bit brighter of a pink, and Catania, a sugar-vanilla that’s basically clear. The only thing I’d change would be to add more tint so it could be used alone as treatment + makeup. (It’s very moisturizing + perfect for summer. Tossing this in my purse for NYC.) Available at Tocca.com as well as Sephora and Bluemercury.
Note: the roller-ball application is wonky at first, but after a few attempts it rolls much more smoothly.

Fantastic color in Anna Betts‘ latest project, Echo and Narcissus. Inspired by the Greek tale, Anna used lino printing for Echo and flat perfect colour for Narcissus. The result is simply glorious. What a series they’d make framed and displayed. You can see the full set of work at Flickr, and read a bit more about it at colour + sound, Anna’s blog. (Anna, you’re amazing. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next.)

i think this is my favorite.
