save-the-date
I submit the work of Toronto’s Snap & Tumble as proof that a muted, neutral palette looks elegant and completely amazing! The save the date above is customizable in myriad ways, limited only by your own creativity, and the banner card below just begs for a personalized greeting. You can see more at the Snap & Tumble website, shop, and blog.

A serendipitous Flickr discovery: members of The Post Family, a group of seven Chicago creatives, have done a bang up job personalizing Scout notebooks. Click on over to Flickr and see for yourself, read more about it at the Scout blog, and get inspired to fill your own book! (I’m especially loving the work of Chad Kouri and Alex Fuller, featured here.)

Happy Friday! It’s Mother’s Day weekend. The gifts are wrapped (and sent, if need be). Further, the sports gods have granted me a small reprieve: Sunday’s baseball practice has been cancelled! (Wonder how many irate phone calls they got?) Glad that we won’t have to rush through the family Mother’s Day lunch. Small victories :)
On with the Five:
- untitled
- crinoline
- Local Strawberries
- little birds
- things in my typewriter
Hope your weekend is just right. See you Monday ….

I’m a big fan of Elisha Cooper‘s illustrations (and writing). His newest book, Farm, looks completely charming, and I love that he was driving around my “backyard” for inspiration.

Completely smitten with the ethereal bird drawings of artist Catherine Hamilton. Visit her blog, birdspot, to see more of her artwork, or if you’re near Providence, check out her exhibition at Craftland, running through May 22. Gorgeous.
