This white french press would make a lovely infused water pitcher. Thanks to Martha Stewart for the idea.

Another can’t miss location in the Low Country is Savannah’s The Paris Market & Brocante. Full of gorgeous goodies that are styled to the nth (you can just drink in the inspiration), and yet the real draw for me is the patisserie/coffee bar. Tucked in the corner, stop by to refresh with an infused water, a cookie (from Two Smart Cookies) or a french caramel. Or perhaps you’d like an espresso, served in a lovely Keith Brymer Jones cup like the one pictured above. Charming (and the driving force for my visit ever since I spotted them at Tumblr). For more pictures from my visit, click over to my Flickr set, and for a better look at the coffee bar, check out this Paris Market blog post.

easter cookies!
If you’re making a day of it in Savannah, stop for lunch at the recently opened Papillote, just down the block from The Paris Market. I highly recommend Le Parisien sandwich. It’s not only delicious, but a work of art.

Sneaking in on a Sunday with a quick rave: just got back from the Antiques and Garden Fair (soooo glad I went), and am über happy to report that I think I’ve solved my local florist problem. Molly Flavin Floral Design was at the fair, and I fell hard for the assortment on the floral cart. Simply stunning. Gushing me will be ordering an arrangement shortly, as flowers make me very happy. (You can see more of my photos from the Fair here. Right now, it’s just flowers, but I’ll be adding more soon.)

Happy Spring! We’ve had a spate of warm days, so much so that I have decreed 2010 the year of the magnolia. No snow, no frost, no driving rain or windstorm to ruin the show. May I add that the blossoms smell heavenly? Such a treat. As far as I’m concerned this can go on indefinitely …
On with the Five:
As for the weekend, there is no soccer (can you believe it?) but I’m hoping to make it over to the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Antiques & Garden Fair to take in the beauty and inspiration. Hope your weekend is lovely – I’ll see you back here on Monday.

Gorgeous packaging for Kubli bonbons (I think my favorite flavor is the fruits de mer). Available at Dean & Deluca.
