Completely smitten with this diptych from ThussFarrell, pairing yummy + fresh doughnuts with the interior from Brooklyn’s Egg. (I adore those chairs!)

Seven Year Pen

the seven year pen: seltzer goods | simple pretty

I’ve been thinking about Seltzer Goods’ Seven Year Pen ever since I spotted it at Greer a couple of weeks ago. The orange and punctuation combo screams Jane, and the seven year lifespan is completely appealing as I churn through pens with all of my KenKen and crosswording. (There are six other color choices if orange isn’t your thing.)

Russell + Hazel Jotters

Proof that austere can be pretty: notecards and executive jotters from Russell + Hazel. Backed with a color assortment or simply charcoal gray, they add a dash of fun to note taking. (And you know that I’m loving the circle the date detail.) Sold in sets of 30 for $8.00.

System Bottle

I’ve found the perfect travel mug to carry when I visit Hope and Union. (or Starbucks, while I plot my move to Charleston) By Snow Peak, and available at Canoe: it’s a bit $$$ but gorgeous.

Field Trip: Hope and Union Coffee

If you’re going to Charleston, you cannot leave without a stop (or two) at Hope and Union Coffee Co, right around the corner from Stitch Design on Saint Philip Street. It’s been open since November 2009, and owner John Vergel de Dios did an amazing job designing not only the logo (adore the goat w/balloon), but the shop’s interior, too. The space is clean, bright and understatedly gorgeous which to me equals perfection. I stopped in for an iced tea right after my Stitch appointment and was lucky enough to meet John and his wife, Harper Poe who were able chat for a bit about their new endeavor, which was great as I had a lot of questions :)

As my first visit was late afternoon, I made sure to stop by the next morning so I could try a baked good or two, made by Wild Flour Pastry. A big thumbs up to the Nutella/banana turnover I ordered + shared with my travelers. I can’t wait to get back to Charleston and visit again.  If you’d like to see a few more photos, check out my Flickr set.

(The pillows in the nook pictured above are from Harper’s business, Proud Mary. I loved the yellow and white “El Sol” print so much I ended up ordering a coin purse in that pattern.)
