The surest sign that I really, really like something is when I end up carrying it around with me all day. Such is the case with Around Fog Linen, a lovely book showcasing artists (including Maria Alexandra Vettese, Rae Dunn, and Pod’s Julie Baine) with Fog Linen product. The Fog Linen lifestyle is so appealing to me, as it’s beautifully minimal and yet practical. My latest desire from the line is the camphor plastic tote bag, pictured below. I imagine the plastic would provide a bit of weatherproofing, not to mention it’s a gorgeous tote. I’ve found the larger version at Pod, but if you have a source for the smaller bag, please let me know!

p.s. Ordering from Japan was simple + straight forward, so if you’re interested, go for it! I picked up the book as well as the latest catalog.

Hugely in love with Wedding Style Guide’s cover for the new Autumn issue. (Evokes Martha Stewart Weddings’ first issue, which I also loved.) Can’t wait to see what’s inside.

Now that the weather’s a bit warmer, I’m ready to get out and visit the shops I bookmarked during winter snowstorms. One such shop is At Work Design in Forest Park (IL). The spill coasters above are super cool, and the selection in the online store is right up my alley: simple, stylish and useful. There are so many interesting choices …. click on photos to link to the product.

Happy Friday! So glad to have one more day of warm temps before it’s back to reality. (I’ve even heard the s**w word bandied about for Sunday.) In the spirit of making the most of the weekend, let’s get on with the Five:
- White hydrangea
- not sunny enough
- untitled

- Knowing you have something good to read before bed is among the most pleasurable of sensations
Oh, and I do believe there’s one more photo with special appeal for five of you:
