I am ready to hop on a plane and head back to California for many reasons (the weather, primarily). One of my first stops will be at LA florist Tic-Tock. I’ll take one of everything, please.

Lots to love in the May issue of Bon Appetit (including a nice article about Portland’s wines and beers) but right now all I can think about is a crab cake sandwich with s’mores pudding (recipe from Baked) for dessert. Run out and get your very own copy is my suggestion.

love the string closure
My purse is full of stray business cards, gift cards, and membership cards (like my heavily-used Starbucks card, and Barnes & Noble). I would love to have a more elegant yet still practical way to organize them. I think this Billet card case is exactly what I need. Perfect colors, too. Now, I have to figure out how to wrangle one.

I ordered this handbag yesterday. Trying to go smaller, and lighter, yet still have nooks and crannies for all of the stuff I accumulate. Tried this one first: too small. Crossing my fingers that we have a winner. (Love that it’s orange, by the way.)

Minted is running a Modern Baby Shower Invitation contest. Visit the site to see the 280 entrants and rate your favorite designs. I really like the “nifty nursery” invite by Sweet Tree Studio (pictured above) and “Schoolyard” by Beth Perry Design (below). Both are perfectly modern and yet sweet enough for baby.
