My gift shop find was the book A Year in Japan. Written (and gorgeously illustrated) by Kate Williamson, her snippets of daily life made me want to visit Japan more than ever. My son found these Piperoids in the museum gift shop. We bought Rob & Skip, but he wants to collect them all. Piperoids are paper pipe robots you assemble using only a pair of scissors. No glue. No tape. Love that! (And of course, they’re from Japan.)
