Country Home is closing, effective with the March 2009 issue. The latest issues had been ultra-thin, and I’m not suprised. Sadly, I think this trend of magazine closings is just getting started.

Hello, and happy Friday to you all! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We have a soccer game on Saturday, and on Sunday my son starts a 5 week class. I’m hoping to use Sunday afternoon to get the office closet organized, or at least a good start. Suann inspired me with her elegant shelf set-up.
This morning I’m headed to the DMV for a new license. Ahhhh, the exciting life I lead.
On with the Five:
And on a resolution note, have you read Joslyn/Simple Lovely’s post about resolutions? Her five word mantra personifies what I’m trying to realize this year: Simplify, Minimize, Learn, Create, Appreciate. Yes!

How cute is this hamsters card from Dee & Lala?
Sorry. Have to link to their sweet fish card, too. I’ve got fish on the brain.

I had meant to post this earlier in the week, but better late than never, right? If you’re in Los Angeles, check out the nifty array of letterpress class options at Lala Press. This Saturday? Baby Announcements! and Sunday? Intro to letterpress stationery. Or, create your own letterpressed business card on January 17 or 31. And there’s more to come.
Lala Press will also host your party. I think a letterpress themed birthday party would be soooo much fun!

Help Remedies’ packaging, for acetaminophen and bandgages, is über-cool. (and it’s made from compostable molded paper pulp!) Designed by Little Fury and available right here. Even the t-shirt tempts! Trying to select the best neurosis for the front is holding me back. (Perhaps “Help! I can’t make up my mind”?)
