As promised, I have good news to share on the ribbon front. My gift wrap plan for this year is to use white and kraft paper, grey ribbon, and various tags. Thanks to Bari Zaki, I now have some great options for the ribbon. I think I’m going with option #2 in the top photo (which I believe is Angela Liguori‘s ribbon) as well as one of the satin ribbons in the lower photo (probably the wider one). Thanks, Bari, for sending the swatches! I’ll be calling my order in this week!

And of course, thanks to Suann for designing such lovely tags. I hope you like the ribbons I chose to go with them!

Run, don’t walk, over to Martha’s blog today and check out the 85 photos from the first ever Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia employee art exhibition. I adore these dresses, pictured above, from Stefanie Lynen (of Winter Water Factory), but there’s much, much more.

Weekend Wrap

Hello and Happy Monday! I spent the weekend (once again) reorganizing and trying to get rid of stuff. Soccer ended for the fall season on Saturday (it was freezing! I spent the second half in the car), We celebrated with a post-game party, and then on Sunday all of the gear was washed and put away for a few weeks. I’m hard at work on Christmas lists and shopping strategies. My goal is to match people with things I’ve discovered over the past year. Hopefully, that strategy will work as there are so many artists at Etsy I love, and I’m striving to find their art/products “good homes”.

I’ve also rededicated myself to eating better and more simply, which is odd given that my CSA box just ended. I will not be giving up bakeries anytime soon, but there’s always room for improvement. Cue the oatmeal. Easy; healthy; and a fun way to use my french bowls.

More later.

This week’s giveaway is from Page Stationery, and is a great way to start planning for the holidays. It includes a set of ten sled “seasons greetings” photo cards (just add your 3 1/2″ X 5″ photo), eight letterpressed “ho ho ho” coasters, and two letterpressed cards: “thank you” and “be well”. I really like Page Stationery’s simple and elegant style, and I hope you will, too.

Here are the rules:

  1. Leave a comment (one per person and no anonymous) at this post by Tuesday, November 11 at 11:59 pm cst.
  2. I will randomly draw one winner from the eligible comments and announce the winner in a Thursday, November 13 post. The post title will include “giveaway winner”.
  3. As ever, it is up to the winner to check Thursday’s post for his/her name. If you win, simply send me an email with mailing instructions before Monday, November 17 at 5:00 pm cst. If I do not hear from the winner by that time, I will redraw.
