Time to gush. I should just listen to Chelsea when she posts about something and get on board, but it took a second knock to the head from Decor8 before I realized just how awesome the stuff from Made by Hank is. The ruffles! The stitched “made by hank” detailing. The elephants! The polka dots! The gushing!
All of the purses shown here have been “sold” at Made by Hank’s etsy shop, but that just makes me more determined than ever to get to Renegade Chicago and see this stuff in person. And meet the talented Katie Henry. And get a bag (or two, because they will make great gifts!) Check out her shop and stay up to date through her blog.

Looking for hip and unique baby stationery? Be sure to check out Chickprint. I loved the airplane announcement, but there’s lots more cuteness at the shop.

I’m loving these notepads. I know I’ve mentioned Mateo Ilasco‘s “numbers” notepad before, but now you can buy it at See Jane Work! (and “soon” at the Mateo Ilasco site – I hope that’s true because I’m smitten with the whole line ….)

If numbers don’t get you, perhaps these “grid-it” notepads will: each influenced by a particular designer’s “invisible” grid; now made visible. Clever and oh so cool. Learn more at The Art of the Grid site. For shopping, try Rare Device, which is where I spotted them.

The September issue of Elle made me want to visit TriBeCa’s new Greenwich Hotel (and so did Habitually Chic). Once I checked in, I’d head for the minibar, as this could be the best looking bottle of whiskey I’ve seen. I don’t drink whiskey, but I would probably buy it just to have the packaging. That purchase out of the way, I’d relax with a cup of coffee and a plate of macarons. Or maybe raid the minibar’s free candy ….. who are we kidding? I’d definitely do that!

Don’t you love these enameled travel charms? They were featured in the September issue of Lucky, with a “What are these?” request. Some readers came through (and then some!) with background information as well as links to online shops. There’s also photos of someone’s fantastic collection at travelcharms.net. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for a couple of my own, as they would add a nifty dash of color to my charm bracelet.
Giveaway Update: For reasons beyond my comprehension, the dvd winner failed to contact me. Therefore, my son has re-drawn from the remaining commenters and E, you are the big winner! Shoot me an email with where to send them and I’ll get them on their way ….
