While on one of my regular Target runs, I spotted these sweet Letter Impress invites, designed by Gartner Studios. I liked them so much, I was bolder than usual and got out the iPhone to take a picture:

I can’t find any photos online, but the September issue of House Beautiful features four melamine trays from John Derian for Target. I am all over this ….. prices were in the $13 – $17 range.
Target.com shows a photo-less set of blue butterfly coasters.
Update: 8/10 – the September issue of Elle Decor says that the John Derian @ Target collection will be available beginning September 14. Mark your calendars!

I should have known: there was no five o’clock (am) alarm. No rushing through the house to leave before seven. My husband was taking the day off. It was nice to have him around. As it was hot and humid (very humid!), we spent part of the afternoon clearing out the well air-conditioned basement, making more Goodwill piles.
For dinner, we went to a local hole in the wall for Mexican, then came home to sit and listen to the cicadas. So much noise from something so small.
More later, but right now, it feels good to be still.
