Page Stationery introduced a new wedding album at the show, full of their signature timeless designs expertly printed on luxe 600g Italian stock. It was a pleasure to meet designer/founder Sue Corral and chat as we browsed through the album: I’ve long admired how Page tweaks classic design just enough to keep it modern. (Remember this sweet invitation from Martha Stewart Weddings?)

Thanks also to Erica Caskey at Page: so nice to meet you!

the pawling booth*
Pawling is another studio that excels at clean, geometric design. After long admiring sister-design team Trisha & Janet’s aesthetic at pinterest, it was nice to finally meet in person. (Making personal connections was a recurring theme for my 2012 NSS trip.) Pawling was one of the first booths I visited at the show, and I instantly fell in love with their topographic prints of national parks, available in calendar, print, and notecard form.

I’ve been to the Stationery Show three times now, and each time, I’ve fallen hard for Egg Press. This year, it was geometric patterns that caught my eye. That, and the meticulous production standards that Egg Press is famous for. (Die cuts never looked so good.) The new “quiet thank you” series was an instant favorite: I love that it’s described as “masculine and pretty” in their wholesale catalog, as the two adjectives aptly sum up my design philosophy. The angela adams collaboration with Egg Press continues as well: a most excellent pairing of pattern + presentation.

You can see more photos from the Egg Press booth at my Stationery Show Flickr set (I went a little crazy with the camera).

While in New York, I also managed to squeeze in a little shopping and eating. A few of my favorites from the weekend:
- Crosby Street Hotel the room. the view. the macarons. the service. perfection all around, and can’t wait to return.
- Ochre crazy for their aesthetic and their gorgeous chandeliers. some day ….
- Buvette the perfect spot for saturday’s dinner. thanks, kate, for sharing the chocolate mousse, and for introducing me to the monaco!
- Jack Spade can’t stop thinking about this super-cool tote bag.

So much to like at Double Bravo. An orange booth and elegant designs inspired by travel? Of course, I’m a fan. It was a pleasure to finally meet designer Barbara Buenz in person as well.
